Reverend Emil E. Kasischke
Rev. Kasischke
Reverend Emil E. Kasischke

Reverend Emil E. Kasischke was born September 30, 1907, in Tawas City, Michigan. When he was ordained in 1931, it was the culmination of 11 years of study in preparation for the ministry. He then served the “triple parish” of Mayville, Silverwood, and Yale, Michigan.

Pastor Kasischke accepted a call to Trinity in 1938, serving the Lord here until retirement in 1976.

The history of Pastor Kasischke’s ministry is closely related to that of Trinity, as most of his service to the Lord was spent here. He was the longest serving pastor in the history of the congregation. During his pastorate the congregation doubled in size and embarked on building programs replacing all the church property. He was known to be wise in financial matters.

He was a member of the Board of Control at Michigan Lutheran Seminary for 25 years, 24 as chairman. He also was on the board of Bay City’s General Hospital.

Pastor Kasischke retired to Tuscan, California, and entered into the joys of eternal life with our Savior, September 3, 1989.

Pastor Kasischke’s salary was $23 per week in 1938. Besides supporting his family, he was responsible for all the utility bills associated with the parsonage, except the phone.
